Vacation Part three: Tahoe
I am thankful! Whatever it was that set me back on Saturday subsided enough to allow me to pack a car and tote the family up the hill to Tahoe for a couple of days.
Thank you for the prayers!!!
I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to enjoy two nights in a cabin next to the Lake due to the generosity of a family within our church. They have given us the use of their cabin several times now in the winter, and this time in the summer, and I must say that it was even better in the summer.
Within walking distance was the lakeshore, a massive and warm pool, a pier, fanny bridge, and shops.
We were swimming, biking and walking non-stop! The highlight for me was hopping on the bike after dinner each night and following my daughter Makenzie to Fanny Bridge to look over at the ginormous fish below. Special times with my daughter.
Caleb brought his friend Zach, and together they spent the majority of their time under the pier catching crawdads.
I googled the cooking process and we boiled them (adding cayenne pepper) and dipped those little tails in butter and the boys ate with all the pride of young conquerers.
Good times!!!
We came home Tuesday night and spent the day Wednesday regrouping for the next wave of our time off… grandma’s house in So Cal. More on that later…

CRAWDADS!!!! I would have to googled too!!! You are all having such a wonderful, fun time… love the pictures. But, we miss you!!!!!!!!!! Sharon… you look like you could have stayed in that boat forever. I can remember living in Hawaii when my girls were small, lots of fun too. Will keep you in my prayers and for a safe trip home. Love you all.

Some of those crawdads look pretty big! I have precious memories of catching them and contributing to the pot that same evening. Morgan, you’re the best!
