FAQ’s about Children’s Ministry

Q: Who are your volunteers and are they screened?
A: Our volunteers are men, women, and youth from our church who sense a call from God to serve children. Yes, they are screened (see “How to Get Involved”).

Q: Do your volunteers have a curriculum and do they receive training?
A: All of our volunteers are provided with age-appropriate curriculum to use in their classrooms and are required to attend training sessions. We offer training sessions several times a year.

Q: How many teachers are in each class?
A: We have two teachers assigned to each K – 5 grade class. Preschool classes have 3 teachers assigned. The ratio of helpers per age grouping is as follows: 1 adult for every 2 infants, l adult per 5 toddlers/preschoolers, and 1 adult per 8 children (K-5th grade).
