Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens at a home fellowship?
A: Each fellowship will vary a little bit in their procedures and personality – but all of the fellowships typically include the following activities:
- Corporate Worship – Time to focus our attention on God and respond with songs of praise
- Corporate Prayer – Time to intercede in prayer for those in the group, friends and family, the church, the community, our nation and the world.
- Group Discussion of the Sunday Morning message – The primary focus of the evening is group discussion of the morning message. By revisiting the morning message, key points are reinforced, questions can be answered, and personal application can be discussed. The group leader’s role is to share insights and facilitate interaction within the group rather than teach a Bible study.
- Fellowship – Many of the groups share a meal every week and all provide time for group interaction with the goal of developing personal relationships.
Q: Do I have to sign-up?
A: No. But you may want to call ahead to let the hosts know you are planning to attend or to ask any questions about the meeting.
Q: Can I bring my children?
A: Most of our home fellowships have childcare available. The directory indicates which groups provide this option.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: If you are visiting for the first time, simply bring yourself and your Bible!
