men of honor

A four-week Bible study on the topic of

finding freedom from impurity and becoming men of honor.

“Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.” 1 Timothy 2:20-21 (ESV)

Becoming a man of honor is a worthy – but lofty – goal. It’s a worthy goal because being a man of honor makes a man “a vessel for honorable use,” “set apart as holy,” “useful to the master of the house (God),” and “ready for every good work.” It’s a lofty goal because it requires a man to intentionally cooperate with God in the process of cleansing himself. The four studies in this series are designed to help men make progress toward achieving this worthy and lofty goal!

The Men’s Ministry is offering this series on Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm-8:30pm starting Tuesday, September 18 and continuing through Tuesday, October 9. Each weekly meeting will involve:

  • a Teaching Session (taught by one of the pastors) with accompanying “Fill-in-the-Blank” style notes
  • a Small Group Discussion Session led by a discussion facilitator
  • and a Main Group Wrap-Up Session that summarizes the topic for the evening and introduces the following week’s topic.

Note: There is no written “homework” involved with this study.
