DESCRIPTION:Becoming More Like Jesus — A Study in Romans 12\n\nMen are invited to a 7-week study on Romans 12\, held on Wednesdays from January 14 to February 25\, at 6:30 pm in the Main Sanctuary. \nAs men who are learning to follow the way of Jesus\, our goal is simple: to become more like Him. Paul puts it this way – that we would be “transformed by the renewal of our minds” as we walk with Jesus day by day. \nOver 7 weeks\, we’ll work through the 21 verses of Romans 12 and get practical about what a transformed life actually looks like. We’ll spend time learning together\, engaging in small and large group discussions\, and acquire weekly practices that help us live out what we’re studying. \nCome ready to grow\, to be challenged\, and to walk alongside other men who want their lives to look more like Jesus’. \nThere are other Men’s Studies that meet on Wednesday and others throughout the week. DESCRIPTION:Women of Crossroads and the surrounding communities are invited to a Bible study about prayer. January 14– April 29\, 2026. \nWhen You Pray \nDo you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God\, but it can sometimes be a struggle. Throughout God’s Word\, we encounter many voices that teach us how to pray. \nIn this study\, you’ll join six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament\, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all\, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer\, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ. \nJoin us for “When You Pray”\, a Lifeway study on Wednesdays\, January 14 – April 29. There are AM & PM groups available to join\, as well as an offsite group on Tuesday evenings\, and an online group on Thursday mornings. \nIf you joined us for the James study this last fall\, you DO NOT NEED to sign up for this study. Simply stop by the church office to purchase your workbook.  \nThe cost of the workbook is $25\, and you can purchase and pick up your book in the church office in the next few weeks or on the first day of class.\nIf you need a scholarship or would like to donate to one\, please let us know! All you have to do is pre-order some great homemade cinnamon rolls. \nEnjoy fresh cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning by ordering some homemade frozen rolls made by our high schoolers to be defrosted and baked in your oven. They are currently studying the book of Genesis. \nWednesday – Main Sanctuary (NEW)\nThis is a new 10-week small group focused on Jesus’ words\, “Follow Me.” It will ask the questions of what it means to follow Jesus and how we should orient our lives around Him. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Wednesday kick-off dinner! \nThis kick-off dinner will be at the upper picnic area on September 17 at 5:30 pm. Come for dinner and then head to Bible study or youth group at 6:30 pm. \nPlease make sure you have signed up for bible study if you are planning to attend a group! \nWhy do we need a Wednesday kick-off? \nTwo of our values as a church are that we are family and we are intentional. \nWe are family means we have a place to belong\, a place where we are known\, heard\, and seen. This is a family that is committed to us\, and likewise\, we are committed to one another. This is a place where we invest our lives and our gifts together. \nWe are intentional means we value transformed lives over a busy schedule. We will say no to some things so that we can say yes to the right things. As individuals and as a church\, we do not want to walk aimlessly; we want to walk intentionally. \nAfter years of running women’s Bible study on Tuesdays\, we are changing the meeting time to Wednesdays\, while keeping morning and evening gatherings available. \nThis change was intentionally made to set families up for ways to engage with the church community simply and meaningfully. Multiple men’s studies are already running on Wednesday nights\, and our High School & Middle School (Armory) ministries have been meeting on Wednesdays for years. By switching women’s groups to Wednesday night\, the whole family can attend a group specified to them and their season of life. This change is one way we have decided to move forward in our values of “We are Family” and “We are intentional” by creating a space for people to love God and love others as a family and as individuals. \nWe are hosting a kickoff dinner to help foster community and create a space of connection as we head into the Fall. \nStudies & Groups starting at 6:30 pm:\nMen: Bible study– In the commons suite\, coffee shop\, and the main sanctuary. \nWomen: Bible study – In the fellowship hall and upstairs classroom \nStudents: Youth group – In the HSMPR & Armory room \nKids: Childcare will be provided by reservation during Bible studies\, and the kids will study the Book of James alongside the women’s Bible study. \nQuestions? Call us at 530-268-2539 or send us an email at office@crossroadslive.com
