They discuss Sunday’s teachings and focus on “Bible reading and Bible doing\,” walking through life together while seeking to walk this life with Jesus every step of the way. \nWednesday – Commons Suite\nThis group gathers in the coffee shop at 6:30 for fellowship\, then breaks off to the commons suite to study the bible with one another. They are currently studying the book of Genesis. \nWednesday – Main Sanctuary (NEW)\nThis is a new 10-week small group focused on Jesus’ words\, “Follow Me.” It will ask the questions of what it means to follow Jesus and how we should orient our lives around Him. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Wednesday kick-off dinner! \nThis kick-off dinner will be at the upper picnic area on September 17 at 5:30 pm. Come for dinner and then head to Bible study or youth group at 6:30 pm. \nPlease make sure you have signed up for bible study if you are planning to attend a group! \nWhy do we need a Wednesday kick-off? \nTwo of our values as a church are that we are family and we are intentional. \nWe are family means we have a place to belong\, a place where we are known\, heard\, and seen. This is a family that is committed to us\, and likewise\, we are committed to one another. This is a place where we invest our lives and our gifts together. \nWe are intentional means we value transformed lives over a busy schedule. We will say no to some things so that we can say yes to the right things. As individuals and as a church\, we do not want to walk aimlessly; we want to walk intentionally. \nAfter years of running women’s Bible study on Tuesdays\, we are changing the meeting time to Wednesdays\, while keeping morning and evening gatherings available. \nThis change was intentionally made to set families up for ways to engage with the church community simply and meaningfully. Multiple men’s studies are already running on Wednesday nights\, and our High School & Middle School (Armory) ministries have been meeting on Wednesdays for years. By switching women’s groups to Wednesday night\, the whole family can attend a group specified to them and their season of life. This change is one way we have decided to move forward in our values of “We are Family” and “We are intentional” by creating a space for people to love God and love others as a family and as individuals. \nWe are hosting a kickoff dinner to help foster community and create a space of connection as we head into the Fall. \nStudies & Groups starting at 6:30 pm:\nMen: Bible study– In the commons suite\, coffee shop\, and the main sanctuary. \nWomen: Bible study – In the fellowship hall and upstairs classroom \nStudents: Youth group – In the HSMPR & Armory room \nKids: Childcare will be provided by reservation during Bible studies\, and the kids will study the Book of James alongside the women’s Bible study. \nQuestions? Call us at 530-268-2539 or send us an email at office@crossroadslive.com
