We aim to provide a rich, fun, safe and life-impacting ministry to your kids, grandkids, friends and neighbors or anyone else who shows up!

Let the children come!

We use Bible-based curriculum, but nothing surpasses the people that minister to your kids. We have great committed teachers that take ministry seriously when it comes to your kids. Take a moment and meet your child’s teacher, ask questions, be aware of what happens in the classroom. Because we desire to have good communication with you we provide weekly newsletters on the wall outside your child’s classroom door communicating the daily Bible study taught in class.

We are here to serve and minister to your kids and guide them closer to Jesus. If you have other ideas or questions you need answered please Contact Us or call the Children’s ministry office at 530-268-2539 (ext 240) and ask for Ken Kessenich, Pastor of the kid’s ministry.

Wednesday Nights (North Campus)

Crossroads Kids Club

CKC is for Kids from age 4 through 3rd grade. CKC is a high energy active night of Bible study, memory verse drills, and team game time. Each “team” has a coach that guides them though the rotation of the three 20 minute activities. The evening has special nights when kids dress up for various themes, have special crafts and lots of other fun stuff!

Team 4-5-6

Grades 4 to 6 meet on Wednesday Nights for Bible study, games and fellowship. This night of fellowship is generally longer than Sunday morning and thus allows more in-depth study and fellowship/relationship building.

Security

Believing that one of the ways to love children is expressed in protecting them, Crossroads Kid’s Ministry takes very seriously the topic of child safety. Strict policies regarding children’s safety have been set in place. All potential staff, after being interviewed, are required to provide character references that will be contacted. Appropriate training is provided and fingerprinting is required for those age 18 and older. Assistants under age 18 do not have the same authority or responsibility as adults and hold an “assisting” capacity only. We have detailed requirements regarding bathroom safety policies, guests/parents visitation in classrooms, etc. Contact Ken Kessenich if you have further questions regarding our Kid’s safety policies.

Volunteers

Children’s ministry is an area that feels like a church within a church as teachers get to know one another and share in the ministry together. We have a great group of very dedicated volunteers but always need more to keep our program well-staffed. Pray about considering how you can play a part in ministering to the church of tomorrow.

Even if you don't feel called to teach, there is still a place for you in Kid’s ministry. We have many projects that require extra help when it pertains to children’s ministry: Sunday school craft preparation, bulletin board assistance, organizing supply cupboards and a host of various other items. If you have a servant’s heart and would like to occasionally help in this type of work, please contact us.
