We aim to provide a rich, fun, safe and life-impacting ministry to your kids, grandkids, friends and neighbors or anyone else who shows up!

Let the children come!

We use Bible-based curriculum and have amazing volunteers who minister to your kids. We have great committed teachers who take ministry seriously when it comes to your kids. Take a moment and meet your child’s teacher, and feel free to ask questions.

We are here to serve and minister to your kids and guide them closer to Jesus. If you have other ideas or questions you need answered, please Contact us or call the Kids’ Ministry office at 530-268-2539 (ext. 240) and ask for Carrie Haines, Director of our Kids’ Ministry.

Sunday Mornings

6 months to Pre-K

This ministry provides age-appropriate Bible teaching, a craft, puppetry, and more. All classes have student/teacher ratio requirements.

K to 5th Grade

Sunday school classes meet for high-energy group worship, which includes singing, skits, and Bible story videos. This is followed by classroom teaching, along with related crafts and games.

Special Needs

Our Special Needs Sunday school class is designed for high functioning special needs students. We have trained staff with a class ratio of 1 teacher per 2 students. Pre-registration is required, so let us know you’re coming!

Volunteers

Within our Kids’ Ministry, we have a great group of very dedicated volunteers, but we always need more to keep our program well-staffed. Pray about considering how you can play a part in ministering to the next generation.

Even if you don’t feel called to teach, there is still a place for you in Kids’ Ministry. We have many projects that require extra help: Sunday school craft preparation, bulletin board assistance, organizing supply cupboards, and a host of various other items. If you have a servant’s heart and would like to occasionally help in this type of work, please contact us.

Volunteer!

Safety

Believing that one of the ways to love children is expressed in protecting them, Crossroads Kids’ Ministry takes the topic of child safety very seriously. Strict policies regarding children’s safety have been set in place. After being interviewed, all potential staff are required to provide character references who will be contacted prior to an applicant being able to serve. Appropriate training is provided, and fingerprinting is required for those ages 18 and older. Assistants under age 18 do not have the same authority or responsibility as adults and hold an “assisting” capacity only. We have detailed requirements regarding bathroom safety policies, guests/parents visitation in classrooms, etc. Contact Carrie Haines if you have further questions regarding our Children’s safety policies.
