Helps Ministry

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,

Matthew 25:35

As a church, we want to make much of Jesus both within our walls and outside of them. One of the ways we reach beyond our walls is through our weekly community food distribution. We are also in the process of developing a community garden in hopes of providing fresh produce to our church and surrounding community.

Community Food Distribution

As we strive daily to love God and love others, we saw an opportunity within our community to provide groceries to anyone who needs them. We do this by partnering with a local grocery store that provides us with food donations multiple times a week.

Each week on Wednesday we set up a “storefront” at our coffee shop where people can peruse the food items we have available and fill a grocery bag or two!

Distribution takes place on Wednesdays from 1:00 – while supplies last.

We use volunteers like you to pick up & drop off donations, set up and interact with families on distribution day, and take inventory of what items we have.

If you’d like to help feed our community, let us know!

If donating to our pantry is something you’d like to do, here is a list of items we like to keep in stock:

Non-Perishable items:

Canned Vegetables
Canned Fruit
Canned Beans
Canned Chili
Canned Soup
Pasta Sauce
Pasta
Boxed Mac & Cheese
Peanut Butter
Jelly
Oatmeal Packets
Snack Bars
Cereal

Household Products Needed:

Toilet Paper
Paper Towels
Cleaning Products
Laundry Detergent
Dishwashing Soap

Miscellaneous Needs:

Grocery Bags
Egg Cartons
Gift Cards

All of these items can be dropped off in the church office on Sundays before and after service and Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 to 5. Thank you for helping us make much of Jesus in our church and community.

Community Garden

Our community garden is in progress!

At our weekly food distribution, we saw a great need to provide fresh produce to our community, which kicked off our community garden project. We are excited to be able to show the love of Jesus to our community in this additional way.

With the help of volunteers and generous donations, we are building this garden one day at a time to provide in a way that meets a physical need of those in our community.

We need volunteers like you who can help us in a plethora of ways! We are looking for people ready to get their hand dirty from construction, to garden maintenance, to networking, and more!

If you have a skill to share, or a willingness to serve, let us know.

We are looking for the following items to help us make headway on the construction of the garden. Below you’ll find a needs/wants list with purchasing links if you’d like to help us with supplies. If you can’t make it to pick up these items, we are gladly accepting gift cards to Home Depot and Green Acres.

Our first priority is to build garden beds and a fence.
