When You Pray

Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but it can sometimes be a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices that teach us how to pray.

In this study, you’ll join six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.

Join us for “When You Pray”, a Lifeway study on Wednesdays, January 14 – April 29. There are AM & PM groups available to join, as well as an offsite group on Tuesday evenings, and an online group on Thursday mornings.

If you joined us for the James study this last fall, you DO NOT NEED to sign up for this study. Simply stop by the church office to purchase your workbook. 

The cost of the workbook is $25, and you can purchase and pick up your book in the church office in the next few weeks or on the first day of class.

Wednesday Morning: 9:30 – 11:30 am (Childcare & homeschool program available by reservation)

Wednesday Evening: 6:30 – 8:30 pm (Wednesday night kids program available by reservation, ages 4months – 5th grade)

Offsite –

Tuesday Evenings: 6:30 – 8:30 pm at a home in Grass Valley. No childcare available.

What to expect:

When you meet: Fellowship, worship, video teaching, and class discussion.
During the week: Study guide & homework for subsequent class discussion.
