Who We Are

Crossroads exists to Make Much of Jesus

We do this by following in the way of Jesus and making disciples who love God and love others.

Foundation

Our core values are built on an unyielding commitment to being:

Jesus Centered

Biblically Rooted

Spirit Led

We see Jesus as the living hope of all humanity and will point to Him in everything we do. We will seek to live the Bible as we abide in, love, and study God’s living word to us. We desire, purpose, and pray to be led and empowered by the Holy Spirit as a church and as individuals. These three things, being Jesus centered, biblically rooted, and spirit led, are essential and form the foundation for everything that shapes us.

Values

These values are what we seek to be as individuals and a church body.

This means we have a place to belong, a place where we are known, heard, and seen. This is a family that is committed to us, and likewise, we are committed to one another. This is a place where we invest our lives and our gifts together.

[John 13:34-35; Ephesians 2:19; 1 Corinthians 10:23-24; 1 Peter 3:8-9; Ephesians 4:15-16; 1 Corinthians 12:14-26]

This means we are in the world but not of the world. God has called us to live for Him in the places we live, work, and play. We are not called to retreat to the church as a bunker; we are called and sent out. We are in the world but completely different.

[Matthew 5:13-16, 28:18-20; John 15:19, 17:14-18; Romans 12:2]

This means our relationship with God is intended to shape every part of our lives. There is no separation between the mundane and the spiritual. Our life with God isn’t confined to a moment on Sunday morning; it is to be lived every moment and in every setting.

[Matthew 5:13-16; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:13; Psalm 145:2; Luke 9:23]

This means we value transformed lives over a busy schedule. We will say no to some things so that we can say yes to the right things. As individuals and as a church, we do not want to walk aimlessly; we want to walk intentionally.

[Ephesians 2:19; 1 Corinthians 3:9-15; Luke 4:42-43; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27]

This means we will not waver on the truth, and we will speak it in love. It means we will take stands in private conversations and public settings, carrying ourselves with humility, compassion, and love. We will engage with one another instead of withdrawing. We will treat others the way we want them to treat us.

[John 1:17; Ephesians 4:15, 4:25; 1 Peter 3:15-17; Zechariah 8:16; Joshua 1:7-9; 2 Timothy 2:24-26; Matthew 7:12]
