As we continue in our study of Exodus we see God making a dwelling place among His people.  While the tent of the tabernacle was temporary, God was always working toward permanence.  Ultimately God would send Jesus, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  As we look toward the celebration of resurrection we enter into the season of Lent. Lent is an ancient practice of the church to intentionally prepare our hearts for the celebration of the good news of Easter. We view this practice not as a requirement, but rather as a healthy rhythm to focus our attention on our great need for the good news of Jesus. The practice of lent is often highlighted with fasting from certain luxuries and replacing them with prayer, Scripture reading and a general focus on God.  As a church, we are going to take on the practice of reading through the gospel account of Matthew, together.  You can find the reading schedule below or pick up a bookmark at any of our services.
