Join us for a Wednesday kick-off dinner!

This kick-off dinner will be at the upper picnic area on September 17 at 5:30 pm. Come for dinner and then head to Bible study or youth group at 6:30 pm.

Please make sure you have signed up for bible study if you are planning to attend a group! 

Why do we need a Wednesday kick-off?

Two of our values as a church are that we are family and we are intentional.

We are family means we have a place to belong, a place where we are known, heard, and seen. This is a family that is committed to us, and likewise, we are committed to one another. This is a place where we invest our lives and our gifts together.

We are intentional means we value transformed lives over a busy schedule. We will say no to some things so that we can say yes to the right things. As individuals and as a church, we do not want to walk aimlessly; we want to walk intentionally.

After years of running women’s Bible study on Tuesdays, we are changing the meeting time to Wednesdays, while keeping morning and evening gatherings available.

This change was intentionally made to set families up for ways to engage with the church community simply and meaningfully. Multiple men’s studies are already running on Wednesday nights, and our High School & Middle School (Armory) ministries have been meeting on Wednesdays for years. By switching women’s groups to Wednesday night, the whole family can attend a group specified to them and their season of life. This change is one way we have decided to move forward in our values of “We are Family” and “We are intentional” by creating a space for people to love God and love others as a family and as individuals.

We are hosting a kickoff dinner to help foster community and create a space of connection as we head into the Fall.

Studies & Groups starting at 6:30 pm:

Men: Bible study– In the commons suite, coffee shop, and the main sanctuary.

Women: Bible study – In the fellowship hall and upstairs classroom

Students: Youth group – In the HSMPR & Armory room

Kids: Childcare will be provided by reservation during Bible studies, and the kids will study the Book of James alongside the women’s Bible study.
